The basics
What is Video?
A web app for making videos from data. You pick a template or build a video scene by scene, preview it live and render an MP4 in your browser. Your own AI can draft the video through Geenius OS. It is an app of Geenius OS and also works on its own.
Is this an AI video generator?
No. Video draws templates and scenes from data: what you see is exactly what the spec says, every time. It does not generate footage, pictures or voices.
Is Video ready to use?
It is in early access: invite-only, with payments in test mode. The parts described on this site are built and in the app. We let people in a few at a time, so request access and we write when your place is ready.
Do I need Geenius OS?
No. Video is a standalone app with its own account and plans. A paid Geenius OS plan includes the matching Video plan, and you sign in with the same account.
Who is it for?
People who ship more than they film: developers with release notes, creators with loops and shorts, agencies with client launches and product teams. See the use cases.
Templates and scenes
Which templates are there?
Six fixed templates (hero loop, feature tour, release notes, blog-post clip, app-store teaser and quote), the free-form scene template, five starters made from components, design-round films, and templates your workspace makes itself.
How does the form know what to ask?
Each template is a typed spec with a JSON schema, and the form is made from that schema. Three features means three fields, and a mistake is named by field.
What is a scene video?
A video made of scenes, each with a duration, a transition, a background and layers (text, shapes, pictures, device frames), with keyframes. It is a document, not code, so it can be edited one scene at a time.
How long can a video be?
A scene video can have up to 300 scenes and 30 minutes. One render pass covers up to four minutes, so longer films are made as chapters, split into one video per chapter and rendered one by one.
What are components and the UI kit?
Components are named, parameterised scenes (hook title, big number, quote card, phone showcase and more). The UI kit draws animatable app screens from data, with about 105 icons and 28 pieces, so you do not need screenshots.
Can I make my own templates?
Yes. A workspace template is a recipe of component scenes with parameters, with immutable versions, a diff between versions and an upgrade path for videos made from an older version. You can share it privately, with the workspace, or (admins) as featured.
Look and sound
How many themes are there?
Seventeen design-round themes across three brands (Geenius, Nabcloud, Wundaly), at four sizes: 1080p, 720p, square and vertical. An explicit brand or mode always wins over a theme.
Can I make the same video square and vertical?
Yes. Change the size, or resize a whole collection in one batch. A video that cannot take the change is listed with the reason.
Can I add music and sound?
Yes: up to 24 tracks of music, effects and voice per scene video, with fades, loops and ducking. Upload your own sound or use an https address. A library of licensed music and effects is available only where the deployment has one connected.
Why is the preview silent?
Browsers keep a page silent until you have touched it. Click or tap the page and the preview plays the same mix as the render.
Rendering
Where does rendering happen?
In your browser, with WebCodecs. The file is made on your machine and nothing is uploaded unless you save it to Geenius OS Media. There is no render queue and no render minutes to buy.
Which file do I get?
An MP4 (H.264), with one AAC audio track when the video has sound, at 1080p, 720p, square or vertical.
Which browsers work?
A current Chrome, Edge or Safari with WebCodecs. If your browser lacks an H.264 encoder, the render cannot start.
Can my AI render the video?
No. Rendering needs a browser and a person. Your AI drafts the video and gives you a link; you open it, watch the preview and press Render.
Library
What are collections?
Named, ordered sets of videos. A video can be in several. Batch actions duplicate a collection as a new version, re-theme it or re-size it, with at most 60 videos per batch.
Can I import a finished video?
Yes, as a reference film: an MP4 (H.264) of up to 250 MB with a description in plain words. It counts as a video of your plan. It is never rendered, retimed, resized or re-themed.
How does Geenius OS Media fit in?
With the right scopes, pictures come in from the Media library as copies and rendered videos and their posters can be saved back to it.
Your AI
Where is the AI?
Yours. Video has no built-in AI. Connect Claude, ChatGPT or Grok through Geenius OS and it can fill templates, edit scenes and check quality. The preview, the quality bar and the render work without any AI.
How do I connect my AI?
Video must be added to your Geenius OS workspace. Then add the Geenius OS connector in your AI and sign in. The steps are in Use with your AI. It works on every plan.
What can my AI not change?
It cannot render, and it cannot change the file of an imported film. Every write it makes validates the whole spec and names the scene and field when something is wrong.
Pricing and plans
What does it cost?
Pro is €9 a month, Premium €19, Max €49. Payments are in test mode during early access. A Geenius OS plan includes the matching Video plan. See pricing.
Is there a free plan or a trial?
No free plan and no trial period. We can give people we invite a promo key for a 7, 14 or 30 day trial.
What are the limits?
Pro: 50 videos, made or duplicated. Premium: 100. Max: no count. Every template, scene, theme and render is on every plan.
Privacy and your data
What do you do with my videos?
Your specs and uploaded pictures are stored to run Video. Rendering happens in your browser, so the finished file stays with you unless you save it to Media. Video has no built-in AI. The privacy statement is a draft until a lawyer has reviewed it.
Can I export or delete my data?
Yes. The app has a data export and an account deletion, after a grace period.
